Measure the route and the space
Record the case footprint, aisle clearance, counter height and door swing. Measure the delivery route too, including doorways, stairs and corners. Confirm whether the shipment arrives assembled and who handles unloading and placement.
Test visibility and access
Consider glare, shelf adjustment, lighting, interior clearance and where staff stand while opening the case. Ask how locks and keys are managed and whether replacement components are available.

Compare delivered cost
A fixture quote can change once freight, liftgate delivery, assembly, lighting and installation are included. Photograph the delivery packaging and follow the supplier’s damage-reporting instructions if anything arrives damaged.
Compare these details
- External and usable interior dimensions
- Shelf load limits and adjustability
- Lock design and replacement-key process
- Lighting, power and glass specifications
- Freight, assembly and damage-reporting terms
Ask before buying
- Will the case fit through our delivery route fully assembled?
- Which parts can we replace without replacing the entire case?
- What is the complete delivered and installed cost?
